Breast star for the Napoleonic Order of the Three Golden Fleeces (Ordre Imperial des Trois Toisons d'Or ). The Order was created by Napoleon in 1809 but never instituted. Our star is based on one of the period designs for the Order. Cast and enameled bronze that is partially plated in 24k gold. The star measures 3 inches (76mm)
